Loose Thread Films is an independent Australian production company focused on developing and producing grounded, character-driven stories.
Working across film and television, the company creates psychologically driven narratives that prioritise authenticity, behaviour, and emotional truth.
Founded by writer and director Jason Somerville, the company draws on real-world experience to inform stories that explore identity, perception, and the consequences of the roles people adopt to survive.
In addition to developing original projects, Loose Thread Films collaborates with writers, directors, and producers to bring strong, distinctive stories to screen.
